Safe Town Fest

A Freedom Day Celebration with Purpose

Safe Town Fest 2026 is more than a festival. It is a movement born from the Safe Town Global Initiative — a purpose-driven effort to build safer, stronger and more united communities across South Africa. This Freedom Day celebration is designed not only to entertain, but to uplift, educate and inspire meaningful change.

On 27 April 2026, Athlone Stadium transforms into a powerful hub of culture, music and community impact. The festival opens at 9:00 AM with a vibrant Family Market and Experience Zone, featuring over 50 stalls offering authentic South African cuisine, local fashion, handmade crafts and interactive games for all ages. This is where community meets opportunity: families, small businesses and local creators all sharing in a celebration that boosts the local economy and supports entrepreneurship.

Safe Town Fest also introduces inter-town paintball games designed to build unity among communities, dynamic self-defence demonstrations by world-class experts, and exclusive wine-tasting sessions featuring premium South African wines paired with venison and artisan chocolate. Every activity serves a purpose — to build confidence, connection, awareness and hope.

As the sun sets, the real energy begins. From 17:00 to 22:00, the Safe Town Freedom Day Concert lights up the stadium with top South African DJs, leading hip-hop stars and international guest performers. It is a night of electrifying performances, powerful messages and a united crowd standing for freedom, safety and cultural pride.

Partnership with purpose

rememberHER.org.za Stand against women abuse

“Together we lead with purpose to create a better tomorrow, showing up for women whose lives were lost and driving accountability and empowerment across our communities.”

In Partnership With RememberHer.org.za

Safe Town Fest 2026 proudly partners with RememberHer.org.za, a social justice initiative dedicated to honouring women who have lost their lives to gender-based violence and addressing the failures within the justice system. RememberHer shines a light on real stories, real victims and real families affected by abuse, while advocating for accountability, reform and protection for women across South Africa, Africa and the world.

Through storytelling, empowerment projects and awareness campaigns, RememberHer works to ensure that no woman’s life is forgotten and that every community understands the urgent need to protect, uplift and stand with women.

A Movement for Change

Safe Town Fest is deeply rooted in this mission. Through the Remembrance Foundation and our global initiative, we focus on mentoring young men, empowering young women, supporting families and creating opportunities in local communities. Each festival is part of a larger effort to break cycles of violence, poverty, inequality and social division, while bringing hope, education, business opportunities and unity to the forefront.

Safe Town Fest 2026 combines music and meaning, celebration and education, unity and purpose. It is a call to action for individuals, communities, artists, leaders and sponsors to come together and build the safer, stronger and more hopeful South Africa we all deserve.

This Freedom Day, join us at Athlone Stadium, Stand with the movement, Celebrate our culture, our unity and our future.

Together, we rise.
